Yacht insurance survey and valuation
Insurers often ask for a survey when you buy, renew, change cover or insure an older yacht. We carry out focused insurance surveys and, where required, valuations.
Insurance survey
A safety-focused survey of the hull and structure, visible machinery, safety equipment and documentation. It is narrower than a full pre-purchase survey and is priced accordingly. The report is prepared for marine insurers; please confirm your insurer’s requirements before booking.
Valuation
Where a market value or insured value is needed, we assess the condition of the yacht against comparable sales and provide a valuation in the report.
What we need from you
- Make, model, year and length
- Where the yacht lies and whether she is afloat or ashore
- Your insurer’s survey requirements, if you have them
- Any previous survey and the safety certificates
